Gardening has been a hobby that both Gregg and I have enjoyed for the past 12 years we have lived in our home. It was not until we purchased this house with this yard that we realized what fun gardening is and what a feeling of accomplishment we get from spending a few hours working out in the yard. Our plans and ideas for the backyard have grow as our family grows, in the past 12 years we have added 2 dogs, 4 kids and 5 chickens to the family. It seems with each new addition comes new plans, first we had to dog proof the flower beds, and then we created a beautiful place for entertaining. When the kids came along we wanted a yard for the kids to enjoy as much as we do and now finally with our new gardens and the chickens we have evolved into a place where we can grow an organic food during the summer months.
With everything we add, modify or remove from our yard we are always thinking about making it look good. When we added the garden shed, we worked so that it would be pleasant to look at. When we created our garden area we planned the plantings so the view from inside the house would be pleasant. Our goal is to create a beautiful back yard that is functional for our family and friends, fun and productive.
